In every community across the nation there is a breed of heroes who are standing in wait to help their fellow man, woman and child with the call of service answered at the simple push of three buttons on a telephone pad.

Heroes who will burst into our homes, with no concern to their own safety, to save us from the danger of fire or to protect us from undue harm from other men or the perils of nature

Lost in a haze from the failures of past administrations and left to face an uncertain future with the promises of streets paved in gold; The American people began the year in a delusional craze with the fear and joy of what the year 2009 would bring
