In an age of false bravado, pandering and politicians who say this but really mean that there is not a more lost conversation than the one surrounding immigration.

Like the summer dress that is only brought out for “special” occasions or the “good” silver used for certain company this issue only rears it’s head when it is needed to woo votes or as a bag of tricks to change the conversation

Once relegated as the obsession of fanatics living in their mom’s basement’s with a fleet of hovering spaceships overhead, first edition character costumes and encased mint condition action figures is now a socially acceptable phenomenon shared by children of all ages and adults with corporate muscle behind the cause
