Politics and Culture - November 2010

All across America there is a sense of calm mixed with a twist of panic and fear as the people wait for their elected representatives on Capitol Hill to deliver the things they asked for.

The Confusion of Twisting the Basics

November 14th 2010 14:04
On the journey to getting America back on the right path it’s been said that a country once known for its streets paved with gold, endless amounts of prosperity and the image of everything other nations should aspire to be needs to return to the basics.

The basics that come when government works for the people, business is given an opportunity to do what it does best, government is careful to protect the rights of all her citizens without infringing on the rights of others and every decision made in all three branches of the Federal Government is made for and by the people of the United States of America

It’s the simplest words in the English language that carry the most impact from what is said or isn’t said.

It was once said that after a man or woman strips away denial and rationalization they can come to a sense of who they truly are.

The Method Behind the Madness

November 7th 2010 12:22
As the world begins to embark on all the new beginnings 2011 will bring; the conversation is also preparing for to take some big steps in the New Year as well.

The conversation that began as one citizen’s frustration with a media that was not speaking to his interests and political structure built within an imperfect system that chose to focus on extremes rather than listening to the true voice of the people in the disaffected middle

After the rallies come to a close, speeches hit their mark and the American people have had their say in the voting booth; there comes a point and time where words must transform into action.

Actions that live up the expectations of the American people that bought into the ideals that were put on the table by candidates who must now be public servants to the constituents in their districts, states or country

The Day after Decision Day

November 3rd 2010 13:15
While some may say that it is the divisiveness, spiteful nature and partisan wrangling of modern political campaigns that is at the core of the problems our legislators face when trying to come together on solutions to fix many of the problems in America; the facts force us to take a different approach.

A different approach that takes us to every Wednesday after Election Day when all the bitter feelings, exuberant celebrations and false assumptions help Americans wrap their minds around the events that happened the night before into one sloppy mosaic

A story is told every election year.

Whether it is a story surrounding all the expectations we place on our elected officials to keep the promises that are sure to be broken, continuance of the status quo, or fear of what is to come from the changes that are guaranteed to happen it is still the same record that plays on repeat from November to November
