Awareness Event Cuts for Cancer 2009

The afternoon of Monday November 2, 2009 will be the capstone for a day of celebration in the fight to help children recovering from Cancer.
The fight against a disease that has no bias by way of race, gender, nationality, religious affiliation, creed or age...
What will be happening on this day is a simple call to action in the state of Virginia in a plea for community support in helping the cause. The cause of helping a child find normalcy after undergoing procedures no child should ever have to experience in their young lives.
This call to action is aptly named Cuts for Cancer. A familiar name across the globe that signifies support and love from hair salons and individuals through the donation of hair to create wigs for cancer survivors.
Survivors who came face to face with a disease that has killed millions across the globe and are doing everything within their power to return to the lives they had before giving everything within themselves in the fight for survival.
To honor the children in the fight we are asking each and every one of you to show your love and support by way of visiting Exsalonce Salon and Day Spa located at 60 Susa Dr, Ste 123, Stafford, VA between the hours of Noon and 5:00 pm on the date of Monday November 2, 2009.
Through this visit and a donation of $20.00 along with clips of your hair that will be cut at this event you could help provide a wig for a child and add normalcy back to a young life.
Normalcy that was taken away through Chemotherapy treatments to destroy Cancer cells.
In the fight for a cure we must also take steps to honor the men, women and children who have survived the toughest battles any of us will ever face in our lives. It is with this thought that we are proud to be part of this event that will help children across the globe.
The concept of Cuts for Cancer is purely built on creating an atmosphere of celebration and love to honor the beauty that comes with perserverance of the human spirit.
It is with this these considerations that I am asking you to join us on Monday November 2, 2009 to share an afternoon of celebration.
If you are not able to make it monetary donations are welcome and appreciated as 100% of the proceeds from this event will be applied towards the creation wigs for child cancer survivors.
Cuts for Cancer is the first of four events in the Winter Awareness Event Series.
