Finding the True Root of Hate in Hate Crimes

1. A body at rest stays at rest, and a body in motion stays in motion, unless it is acted on by an external force.
2. Force equals mass times acceleration (F = ma) (or alternately, force equals the rate of change of momentum with time).
3. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
~ Sir Issac Newton’s Three Laws Of Motion
2. Force equals mass times acceleration (F = ma) (or alternately, force equals the rate of change of momentum with time).
3. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
~ Sir Issac Newton’s Three Laws Of Motion
In 1687 Sir Issac Newton set forth to help the world understand the different nuances of how our world works as it pertains to motion…
No man woman or child could have imagined the impact and symbolism of these theories in the chaotic time in which they were written and many people living in the world today have a hard time understanding them now.
A chaotic world that has scene the genocide of religious groups, persecution of people because of their gender, race or sexual orientation and societies of people who are unwilling to embrace anything unfamiliar to their social boxes.
All of these actions have created an equal or opposite reaction in a modern world that crosses lines of race, gender, religious order and sexual orientation.
Every American man, woman and child is entitled to these beliefs that are sometimes held close to the heart and mind.
These beliefs come in various forms including but not limited to social separation by way of race, superiority of one group over another, gender bias and various forms of religious dogma.
The problems in this society do not stem from the fact that people believe these things that some may consider hate but stem from when one persons belief turns into actions of hate.
Hate against their fellow man for things they can not change or lives they choose to live to pursue happiness.
These crimes come in dramatic images that are meant to send a chilling message to everyone else of that social group and society as a whole.
When we examine the actions behind what is and is not classified as a “Hate Crime” we must first ask ourselves exactly what makes these crimes different from any other act of violence that one man or woman may commit against another.
To do this we must reflect back on a dark and bloody world history that has pitted one group of men and women against another in centuries of warfare.
Millions of years of social warfare and strife descended into our melting pot to simmer right next to everything that has made us uniquely American.
With this reality slapping us in the face we have a clear choice to keep stirring the dirt of the past by using a man or woman’s motivation of hate to defend race, religion or how they view society should be or we can simply create a clear stance against crime as a whole.
The origin of creating a separate category for crimes deemed as hateful began within the framework of the Civil Rights movement.
The goal was to send a chilling effect to all those who crossed the line of having personal beliefs of what they believed society should be into a personal and social agenda of hateful action against people of different racial origin.
A chilling effect is a rational solution only when the people who are being targeted have a rational basis behind their actions.
Blind hate and ignorance can never have a rational base and will not be deterred by crossing the line between a hateful act on an American citizen and a crime of hate against an entire group of people.
What we’re living in is a modern age where laws are now set up to protect all men and women from undo harm and in some states the punishment for murder is death.
With this fact people still commit murders just as much as some members of the human race will always perform acts of hate so long as ignorance exists in this world.
What we need is for our Attorney General and federal government to step back from the situation and examine the insanity that exists in the hearts of man across the board.
Examine why men, women and children of every race, color, religion and creed can not find it safe to walk down the streets of certain neighborhoods on a daily basis.
Why locking our doors at night isn’t enough to feel protected from the warped minds of predators that are waiting to perform acts of power over our well being.
Why the rise in home invasions isn’t being combated by a federal task force to create “special laws” to send a chilling effect to all those who are thinking of committing this now common crime.
When you analyze the points in this conversation the problem simply comes down to laws.
Laws are what made the playing field even during the Civil Rights era and allowed men and women to be judged for the content of their character instead of the color of their skin.
Laws are what made the true words of the Constitution shine through within the fact that all men and women are now able to walk equally in the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Laws are what keep the workplace competitive and diverse as every American understands that they have rights in the workplace against discrimination.
When we look at the big picture laws are a great thing but we can’t keep creating laws to answer all of the darkest problems in our society.
Hate has always been just that from the beginning of time.
The deep madness of Adolf Hitler’s savagery came from the same dark place within the hearts and minds of man as the men and women who paraded around burning bodies on crosses during the Jim Crow era.
We all know this place or at least know the capability we have within ourselves as a society to destroy.
The one thing we can’t do is to portray our fears of this dark place by holding crimes against certain people or a group in higher regard over heinous acts to any other man woman and child.
When we can find this place of understanding we can begin to move forward as one society and can justify the rooting out of true evil for everything that it stands for and everything that it is trying to accomplish by dividing us along the lines of race, gender, religion and social order.

Oldies but Goodies From Campaign 08
My whole point with throwing that in there was to illustrate the common dangers we face equally as Americans.
Even in a country without the government "taking away our guns" we should never expect everyone to have one under their bedside.
It kind of skips around the point of working towards creating an environment where everyone is covered under the same blanket laws and not creating seperate punishments based on the societal message of the perpetrator...
