Save The Ta Ta’s Awareness Rock Show II: A Night of Celebration in the Fight against Breast Cancer

A few short months ago a call was made to the Fredericksburg, VA community and beyond…
A call to join us in a five night celebration to raise money and awareness for two causes that need immediate attention.
Through carefully crafted promotion and a conversation that took place on this very same web page our call to action was answered with amazing results.
Results that have raised over $2,000.00 for a pair of causes that directly affect everyone in the conversation in some way shape or form…
When the idealistic dream of fighting to eradicate Breast Cancer and Homelessness was laid at the feet of the Fredericksburg community it was easy for the cynic to say that these ideas were pipe dreams and there was no reason to fight.
The realities of what has happened with the completion of four events in the Awareness Event Series tell a different story.
A story of hope, joy and celebration for all the people that will benefit from the generosity of each and every person involved in making these events a success.
Before we can have the celebration we must finish what we started…
In order to finish the battle in the greater war we have one last night of celebration for the cause of fighting the faceless killer known as Breast Cancer.
A killer that has taken away mothers, friends, co-workers, sisters, brothers, fathers, daughters and sons from us too soon.
We have truly saved our biggest weapons for this last offensive by enlisting not one but two acts from the national stage.
Featured at the Save The Ta T’s Awareness Rock Show II will be a sound system provided by Guitar Center Fredericksburg to bring out the mastery of our two featured acts.
Taking the stage at 9:00 pm will be a piece of band that is well known in the DC area.
Some of you may be aware of our local hero’s named Rude Buddha who has rocked RFK Stadium, The DC 101 Chili Cook Off and the concert of yesteryear known as the WHFStival.
Others may be familiar with this group through their hit song “Miss California” that catapulted them to one of the most requested local bands on the DC 101 playlist.
What we have coming to Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg this Friday is a piece of this Mega Band in the form of it’s lead singer Aaron Crawford as he embarks on his first solo project.
This will be a unique opportunity to catch one of the only performances by this artist before he embarks on a national tour that will share a piece of our local culture with the rest of the nation and ultimately the world.
The featured act of the Awareness Rock Show II is a band that is coming fresh off a National Concert Series on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour.
With Haste is another band that should give the Northern Virginia region a warm feeling about a story of local artists who were able to represent the things that come from this area on a national stage.
With a unique rock style their experience on the Vans Warped Tour had them criss-cross around the nation with a warm reception at every venue where their sound was introduced to a new audience.
This Friday is your chance to become a part of the story of With Haste as they lend their time and talents in support of Team Bras for a Cause in the fight against Breast Cancer.
The story of the need for your involvement and help for this cause has been told over and over again but the importance can never be stressed enough.
Too many lives have been lost
Too many tears have been cried
We can not afford any missed opportunities which is why we are bringing this fight to the local stage.
A stage where you will be rewarded for attending an event that features not one but two bands that are on the lips of people on both coasts of the nation.
Beyond the revolutionary rock show will also be a chance for the community to band together in helping the cause through a raffle that features prizes from local sponsors that opened up their hearts and minds to help.
The featured prizes for the evening include gift certificates from Red Robin, Famous Dave’s The Melting Pot and Hooters of Fredericksburg along with many other gifts that have been donated by vendors in the local community.
The festivities begin at 9:00 pm for this 18 and over event at Buffalo Wild Wings, Fredericksburg VA.
The price of admission is only $5.00 which will be directly donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure National Philanthropic trust helping to fund important Breast Cancer Research, Education, Screening, and Treatment.
