There is no greater joy in life than bringing a smile back into a child’s world. A simple statement but one that carries a powerful impact across the globe.
An impact that serves as a call to action to support organizations that dedicate their existence to these simple things…
It is for this reason that I am proud to lay the ground work for an event that is looking to raise money and awareness for the cause of the Make a Wish Foundation. An organization created to fulfill the wishes of children with terminal illnesses.
Children who have not had the chance to enjoy a life of fantasy, fun and innocence because of a terminal disease that has forced them to deal with life’s complications instead of life’s joys.
In our day to day lives it’s hard for us to conceptualize these things in the rat race of survival. Survival by going to our day to day jobs and seeking relief between life’s many responsibilities.
For these reasons we have put together an event that will blend together the various worlds of entertainment while also raising money for a cause that should be close to all of our hearts.
The night of Friday December 11, 2009 will mark the debut of the 15 Minutes of Fame Charity Show which is a concept that blends together the entertainment realms of Karaoke, Disc Jockey Dance Parties, Game Shows of today and yesteryear along with a return of the showmanship and competition that is missing in today’s entertainment mediums.
What we are looking for is the very best in talent to compete for a $500.00 Cash Prize.
By talent we are looking for dancers, comedians, singers, karaoke superstars, contortionists, purveyors of stupid human tricks or any other talents you think could earn you cash on the stage of Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg.
The way the competition will work is by allowing the men and women, who accept our free invitation to compete, a chance to take the stage and show off their talents.
Through audience applause and a judge’s decision the original group will be broken down to a final four who will compete in the final round at the end of the night.
This group will take the stage one last time before the final decision is put into the hands of the audience.
The audience will decide the fate of these contestants by donating money into the personal bucket of whomever they feel should win the $500.00 cash prize.
Donations that will accompany 10% of sales for the evening and proceeds from the door that will be given directly to the Make a Wish Foundation to support their mission of granting a child’s final wish.
The place where all of this will happen is Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg located at 1638 Carl D Silver Parkway Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
This willl be an 18 and over event with a $5.00 Cover Charge...
It is at the place where limited sign up is avaiable and where you can take the first step to be part of the competition to have your shot at the $500.00 cash prize.
Beyond the competition what will also be featured is the very best in entertainment from the Fredericksburg region. To achieve lofty goals we have invited Karaoke Frenzy and DJ to assist us in the singing portions of the competition along with Awareness Event Series 2009 Promotional Model Mary Lisa to host a night of entertainment, competition fun and fantasy.

Disease and pain has no discrimination by way of race, gender or age.
In this life we have a choice…
A choice to throw our hands up in the air and accept the fact that we can never stop these things or to put our hearts and minds into the fight…
The fight to do everything in our power to help organizations grant wishes for the children who have been left with no other choice but to fight for what’s left of their young lives.
It is with this spirit that I am inviting each and every one of you to join me in raising money for the Make a Wish Foundation to help wishes come true.
