Development Of Radical Independence Part II

The announcement I've been waiting for finally came today...
Michael Bloomberg emphatically announced he will not be running for President in this election cycle. This would normally be time of sadness as he was my canidate from the very begining of this campaign cycle but I was able to find comfort in his words.
Michael Bloomberg emphatically announced he will not be running for President in this election cycle. This would normally be time of sadness as he was my canidate from the very begining of this campaign cycle but I was able to find comfort in his words.
In his announcement Bloomberg stated he will not run for president as an independent, declaring in a newspaper editorial that he might lend his support to a candidate who "takes an independent, nonpartisan approach."
To me this backs up all my reasons for supporting Bloomberg in the begining and backing Obama now.
While McCain has all the abilities to seek this approach he still has a campaign that is run by lobbyists and has a party that wants to drag him to the right and run a campaign based on hate, fear and ignorance.
As the events of last week proved when a shock jock let loose on Obama based on nothing more then hateful speech and fear mongering, McCain is going to find it virtually impossible to run a campaign from the middle.
Obama posseses all the reasons of why I wanted an independent in the white house. The ability to bring people together, making decisions based on what's right (not from the special interests and lobbyists) and the ability to get the American people involved in their government.
Well that's my soapbox for today.
I'm looking forward to your comments positive or negative...
