Just wanted to document a little confrontation I had with a typical far right fear mongering guy who was on my friends list till last night. Feel free to jump in the conversation. Unfortunely he didn't understand the meaning of friendly debate and ran away when confronted with opinions (backed up by fact and reason)different then his.....
It all started when I asked you guys to way in on the possibility for Bloomberg for VP and I got this response...
barack and bloombunk would be the worst EVER presidency in the history of the USA. no more guns, highest taxes ever, and abortion on demand would be standard. I say HELL NO
Here was my response....
Ok let me see...
No more guns: I believe we have a constutuional amendment that covers this and will probly have a republican house or senate and a conservative supreme court to ease your fears
Highest taxes ever: I don't see this as a possibility unless your insanely rich but your income would offset this. In fact if your middle class and it actually matters you can look forward to tax breaks
Abortion on demand: I believe a woman has the right to choose now right? I don't see how the laws can change to make it more accesible. The abortion laws may not tighten up with them in office but they won't become more loose.
To sum all this up there is a reason why the canidates who are extremly pro life, pro guns and pro cutting taxes aren't in the race for President anymore. The country is in the middle and is looking for practical solutions. No matter how you shake this race out none of the ideals your looking for will be met and this is the reason I'm looking for people who will bring our country together, will open their eyes and ears to what the american people are asking for and the people who are looking for real solutions and are not under the control of lobbyists and special interests. Kudos to you for your comments and caring abotu the political system.
I went to bed around 10 thinking something I said may have lead to enlightenment or insight on his part but I guess I was wrong and he needed to get some intellectual thoughts together so I am greeted to 2 messages of his firing back
Thanks for confirming that you are a koolaid drinking liberal. Your response (especially to abortion) is the dead give away. Abortion under these ppl would be granted to 12 year olds who would not have to inform their parents, but I guess that's okay.

Unfortunately this was the end of the discussion as he immediately exited my friends list. Unfortunately I see this as a sad situation when people can't even discuss difference of opionions. Personally as someone who has voted republican their entire voting lifetime it's a little hard to swallow being called a liberal. However the times have changed and I understand these are just party line words that are used to divide and conquer by the political thinking heads. The sad thing for this guy is that their is a sweeping change of involvement from the people in the electorate and the simplicity of labelment will no longer be a means to win elections.
