Winter of Awareness Kickoff Party in One Week!!!!

With every offensive, battle strategy or game plan there comes a time in the movement for everyone to put away the draft boards, big ideas, posters and promotions in an effort to prepare for direct action.
Direct action of putting helping hands together to fight for the cause.
Causes that are put into simple terms of helping our fellow man woman and child.
When we break down the events that will occur over the course of the next four weeks, they all carry the same spirit at their core.
The spirit behind our giving human nature that will put clothes on the back of someone who has fallen on hard times.
The spirit behind putting food in the belly of a fellow world citizen who has not eaten.
The spirit behind having a sense of duty to help our fellow citizens fight against crippling diseases and helping a child’s final wish come to reality.
When you come to Buffalo Wild Wings for these four nights of celebration, I want for this spirit to be in the hearts and minds of each and every one of you.
The purpose of these events aren’t centered around any corporation finding new ways to raise their bottom line nor is it about anyone becoming rich off of the backs of another man, woman or child’s circumstances.
What stands behind this winter of awareness and all other awareness events past, present or future is the fire of hope within the community to help worthy causes.
Worthy causes that need your support and fighting spirit to help our fellow man, woman and child.
The realities of all the hard work that has been put into the creation of these events begins on Friday November 20, 2009 at Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg, VA.
This is the night where the first shots will be fired in the fight to help Farmers in the Fight Against Cancer.
A disease that is non discriminatory and does not take pity on the obligations that still exist to maintain a time honored tradition.
A tradition that has put food on countless dinner tables and serves as the backbone of communities across the nation.
To help in the cause we have enlisted the aid of four musical artists who will use the beauty and mastery of Rock & Roll to help their fellow man, woman and child in a two night event.
A two night event that will begin where Awareness Event Series 2009 left off…
Warped Tour 2009 Performing Artist’s With Haste will kick off the show from the very same place they brought the house down to close out our last series of events.
Playing with this nationally known band will be the Dead End Dropouts. As demonstrated in our official music video, this is a band that can not and should not be missed when given the opportunity to see them live.
Last but not least will be the well known regional mega rock group Elisium. This bands reputation precedes them among musical artists in the Fredericksburg area and as the posted music video demonstrates, they are also a force that is well known beyond the Northern Virginia area.
This is the show that stands before us in one week.
A show where net proceeds from the door, 10% of sales and your donations will directly impact the life of farmers battling disease while trying to maintain their craft.
Maintenance that includes keeping farms open, paying medical bills, maintaining crops and livestock and ultimately providing for their families.
Beyond next weekend, we will also be having a Black Friday Party on November 27, 2009 featuring local musical artist’s Train Wreck.
With a Southern Rock style this rock group is looking to put the petal to the metal in the creation of big things. Big things, to help raise money in the second of two Farmers Fighting Cancer Shows.
Each band in the Farmers Fighting Cancer Awareness Rock Show Series has donated their time and energy to the cause of helping farmers. A cause that affects the lives of countless hard working Americans across the nation and needs your help. Help that can come by way of simply coming out to enjoy two shows with the best musical talent the Fredericksburg Region has to offer.
As with all of our events there will be a $5.00 cover charge, both of these events will begin at 9:00 pm and are exclusively 18 and over.
While we could have begun and ended our cause with the Farmers Fighting Cancer Awareness Rock Show Series; we felt it was important to put our minds together to help more people in this winter season.
Help for a fellow Fredericksburg Area Native fighting a lifelong battle against Spina Bifida and direct action to help children’s wishes come true.
December 04, 2009 will be a night where we shake things up.
A new Awareness Event feature will debut at Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg in the form of a Salsa Dance Party.
An event unlike anything that has ever come to this establishment before will feature DJ Manny who will be spinning the best of today’s hits with Latino Flavor.
Latino Flavor by way of Meringue, Salsa and Reggaeton mixed in with best of today’s hits.
For my fans of the conversation who have found themselves trapped by rock entertainment from event to event, this is your chance to come out and support the cause with your dancing shoes on.
As we reflect back on all the things that are approaching, we have to come to the table with the understanding that all of this is leading to one place.
A place where we can put together all the pieces of the puzzle into "blow out" year ending event to help raise money for an important cause.
A cause that will directly impact the life of a child who has only known struggle in their young life.
The 15 Minutes of Fame Charity Show will be a night of celebration in the cause of raising money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
What will happen is a display of talent in a competition for a $500.00 Cash Prize.
Both good talent and bad talent are invited to compete for cash and pride on the night of December 11, 2009.
If you would like to put your singing, karaoke, acoustic guitar, freestyle, break dancing, gross out, human body trick or any other talent on display to win a $500.00 cash prize you need to make it down to Buffalo Wild Wings Fredericksburg located at 1638 Carl D Silver Parkway Fredericksburg, VA and sign up to enter the competition.
