Politics and Culture - American Profiles In Radical Independence

“I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Transformation of a Million Ideas

March 27th 2011 13:33
In this thing called life each and every individual is given the task of figuring things out for themselves. A task that many have failed to achieve in a lifetime and is sometimes confusing, painful and impossible to see through the smokescreens that are thrown in front of our faces.

Smokescreens that frame this in a mask of that in a false expectation for what they feel are separate societies and cultures destined to march rank and file on their individual sides of the fence.

An invisible fence that has been used as an excuse for one group of human beings to wage war on another while everyone else if left sitting on the outside to form their own assumptions about why all of this is happening in front of their eyes.

To hide the scars of all the ugly things that have happened in the world and will happen in our lifetimes we fall back on the ending of the story as opposed to focusing on all the things that lead up to the tragedy.

The tragedy of nation states across the globe that were left without leadership, had limited food resources, allowed money to corrupt the decisions of their elected representatives and resorted to making decisions in anger.

An anger that resulted in the destruction of their fellow man, woman and child in the name of their fears, nation, religion or the devices of politicians lusting for power.

While we may have learned important lessons from our history the human race is still failing to act upon them when it comes to applying it to current situations.

Situations that call for a “Bigger Approach” when it comes to judging the actions of elected representatives.

Judgment that should go beyond the abbreviated letter placed before their name on a television graphic.

In the midst of an economic crisis, two prolonged conflicts in the Middle East and a hornets’ nest that has been kicked by the most powerful man in the free world the next step should be obvious.

The step where each and every person in the conversation should realize that that there is no real difference between a Republican and Democratic interest in the Middle East and other regions of the world where the United States of America wages military action.

An argument used to divide the half of the nation that believes in Republican political philosophy from the other half that believes in Democratic ideology has now been shown to the world for everyone to see.

A clear picture of one of the weapons used to divide the part of the American public that refuses to fall into the blue or red abyss that is willing to hand out free passes to political candidates willing to say all the things their partisan public wants to hear.

It has become public policy to see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil against whatever political party we are told to stand for.

A policy that failed the world when we allowed the economy to sink into the mess we are dealing with in the here and now…

A mess that happened when the job of representing the people was replaced by the lure of sweetheart deals, earmarks and doing what was best for themselves became the agenda of the United States legislative and executive branches of government.

The time for pointed fingers against the Republican or Democratic Party is over.

The human race has reached a critical point in our short history that requires something more than conspiracy theories, waiting for the apocalypse, rage against our fellow man and simply doing nothing.

These are things that inspired me to start this conversation and subsequently the movement for radical independence.

If things are ever going to change it will not be because of a savior who rises through the grimy world of politics to do all the things we would have done if we were given the opportunity to lead.

The power of change has been and will always be in the hands of the people.

The people of different religious faiths, genders, races, sexual orientations, political ideologies, nationalities, origins, creeds and individual thought.

The problem with change in the modern age has nothing to do with the original premise of a movement but always falls back on the fine print that is about dividing races, religious thought and anyone who does not believe in the same ideals of the revolutionaries.

The freedom fighters that founded the United States of America ran into the same issues as the Freedom Fighters of each and every French Revolution but the reason why they persevered with only one Constitution is because of the ability to put aside their differences for the betterment of the greater good.

The greater good that is about more than winners, losers, victories, losses and deciding which side should hold the throne of power.

The next chapter of the revolution for true change will take place on my Facebook Fan Page.

Beginning Tuesday March 29th I will begin a daily scour of the internet for news articles from major media outlets as well as other sources that aren’t receiving the attention they deserve.

These articles will be posted on my Facebook Fan Page with analysis and conversation from readers across the globe.

The opportunity to join this network is now.

No matter your nationality, race, gender, political views, religion, socio economic class, or world views your opinions and input are needed for the conversation that is about thinking of how we can come together as world society as opposed to how we can grow further apart.
