Separating Fluff and Bull from Facts and Fiction “The Circus Behind the Health Care Reform”
October 7th 2010 11:26
In the year 2010, victory was declared in a political war waged in the name of every American man, woman and child having the benefits of health insurance coverage.
For every war there is a price that has to be paid and as the American public is beginning to understand the price of this war is the details in the fine print.
The details that begin with a few pieces of the machine that are given free reign to chip away at the structure of a great idea which will eventually fail from the lack of support from the infrastructure.
The infrastructure that is the law that will only carry it's power through its enforcement which is being comprised for the few at the price of the many.
The many that have to adhere to the law through the payment of higher taxes and health premiums to feed the same system that multi million dollar corporations, politicians and insurance carriers are allowed to openly ignore because they can afford to pay the price of admission.
For all the fights that came during the passing of the most comprehensive legislation in recent history and the promises stating that this would be the solution to fix the economy and help millions of Americans; what the people were given is a half filled box.
A half filled box with a mountain of new problems that are to come with more compromises to make up for the short sighted deals to shovel through legislation in the hopes that it would win votes rather than serving the greater good.
The greater good that comes when partisanship, power and greed are replaced with practicality and foresight to avoid the things that happen when holes are left in a system that was broken before it even hit the ground running.
Today’s article is a response to an MSNBC internet post via the New York Times which can be read by following the link below.
