Politics and Culture - American Profiles In Radical Independence

“I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The Method Behind the Madness

November 7th 2010 12:22
As the world begins to embark on all the new beginnings 2011 will bring; the conversation is also preparing for to take some big steps in the New Year as well.

The conversation that began as one citizen’s frustration with a media that was not speaking to his interests and political structure built within an imperfect system that chose to focus on extremes rather than listening to the true voice of the people in the disaffected middle.

The disaffected middle that pays the price for every bad decision made by a federal government run by the big two political party structure fueled by special interests and the national party goal of seeking majorities and super majorities rather than working for the interests of the people.

The interests that come with the simplicity of decision making on the most basic levels by ensuring that federal agencies are doing their jobs representative of the people by protecting the general welfare of the public rather than watering down regulations to suit the needs of mega corporations whose only agenda is in making profits.

The interests that come with new faces on Capitol Hill who should be focusing on the economy, creating ways to bring down the national embarrassment of the deficit and getting America back on track again by re-invigorating the workforce without taking swipes at opposition or abusing power.

The interests that come with a force that is focused on bringing people together from every political party, religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality and walk of life without the use of social agendas, power hunts, party agendas or the mandates that come on the back end of every political campaign that turns into a term of service.

In the four years that I have been writing this blog I have never been more proud than I am in the moments that I think of everything this movement can and will be in the future.

A movement that isn’t about a public figure telling you how to think, which religion to support or which political party or candidate to support but is about digging past the BS, Drama and Double-Speak for the bare truths.

The bare truths that will help the American public make informed decisions rather than following the Pied Pipers that come in the form of trumped up Super Heroes that come from familiar places to rescue us from the evils of the opposition that comes from parts unknown.

When it comes down to it we are all the Super Heroes and the Villains because there is only one society that we must all find a way to co-exist in or to destroy it all as one nation.

To round out 2010 the weekly conversation we will be taking a step back in order to take a huge leap forward in 2011.

A step back that will reduce the four weekly conversations and features to the place where it all began on Sunday Mornings which will be posted at or before 10:00am.

With the exception of this week which will feature a blog deconstructing public figure Sarah Palin and everything she has brought to the modern age of politics tomorrow morning and a Veterans Day Blog on Thursday November 11th the conversation will be confined to a weekly post and special posts concerning breaking news.

I would like to take this time to thank all my blog readers on Myspace who have been supporting me since 2005.

My 3,000 friends on Facebook who have grown with me through the years and have always given me the insight I need to understand the things that are happening on the streets of America and around the globe.

My fans on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube who have always been a powerful force in shaping the direction of this blog and all of my subscribers and followers on Politicsandculture.net who have made it a point to attach themselves to the conversation for updates on all my posts.

It is this group that makes up my social network, my casual readers and the large conglomerate of men and women of different politcal beliefs, races, sexual orientations and nationalities from different walks of life who have bookmarked this page that have made me everything that I am today with your support and I thank each and every one of you for this.

Stays tuned for some huge announcements in the coming months and more in depth articles on the things affecting your world from a radically independent point of view.
