The New Direction of Radical Independence And Change...

Let that be our model.
It remains quiet within and is not disturbed on the surface."

In the logs of my weekly writings you will remember this blog as a moment of new beginnings.
This new beginning will not contain false expectations of a government engrained in the system of two party politics rising up for the needs of the common man instead of the lust of power.
This new beginning will not include weekly in depth analysis of a change in tone on Capitol Hill outside of the normal 4-8 year party transition of power.
This new beginning will not be televised, broadcasted nor will it be a gathering of the masses in a pitch for the people to rise up against the politics of yesterday and influence our leadership to act before it’s too late.
The reasons for this new beginning are daunting and simple…
The structure we have created of separating ourselves along party lines is entrenched so deep in our culture that it has lead to our demise on even the lowest levels.
I’ve come to realize that no matter the dire circumstance, national tragedy or scandal things have simply gotten too divisive and partisan for our leaders to drop their red and blue banners to react in a way that doesn’t result in tallying of points by political pundits for one side or the other.
Maybe I already knew this and the signs were there all along…
Maybe our leadership still has it within their hearts and minds to react on the world dangers that are to come from this economic global crisis.
I don’t have the answers to these important questions but what I can tell you is within the simple fact that the ship is sinking at a dangerous rate of speed.
The problems that may or may not have started on American soil are spreading across the globe at an alarming rate.
Europeans can no longer laugh about the cheap property on Florida beaches thanks to our mortgage crisis because they are experiencing the same problems in their own financial markets.
The expanding problems with the haves and have not’s aren’t going to be as simple as government restructure out of fear.
As much as zealots from the left would like to scream about American greed being the root of all of our problems and look to systems of socialism as the answer we have to remember that there are extremes in any perfect political model of government.
To do this doesn’t mean only looking at the grass being greener with systems of health care mirroring our neighbors to the North in Canada and nations like France but also examining what happened to structures of the past in the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, the absolute destruction of religions in Cuba, North Korea and China which all culminated with the ultimate realities of a government preserving power and living off of the money from the top end while the common man lived in impoverished time warps on the streets.
While we are living with the extreme consequences of Capitalism it still bears to remember that we have been here before and have persevered.
The ultimate issue is no longer about making health care affordable, balancing out the line between the have’s and have not’s or saving our earth with green technology.
It is all too little too late for these causes.
When this crisis hits a peak the only concern is going to be about simple survival.
Looking over the spendulous bill’s I am reminded of an old sea adage that sailors used when a ship was sinking…
“Women and Children first” they would scream from the bellows as it was understood who would have first access to the life rafts.
The reason for this was within the factors of women and children being the only hope for our society to thrive on after everything was destroyed.
I bring this up simply because we have lost our way…
What should be our number one priority in our children has been consistently put on the back burner with a broken public school system and an archaic adoption machine that is wrapped in red tape, time lapse and impossibility.
If we have any hope of recovering from the financial mess we’re in now and the pain that is to come it will be within this lost generation of our youth and the generation that is to come where those who have money will be the only one’s with full access to the best education possible.
The problem doesn’t lie within the greed of Washington but is rather within the sense of panic and misguided support of special interests to create jobs that will not help us survive the gravity of the crisis our country is facing.
I say to you enough is enough!!
What America needs to do at this grave point and time is to grab a machete and cut through the BS. I know from my personal experience with government failure that once it hits a certain point it’s hard to see through the fog and murk but there is always a light.
I want to be your machete and torch bearer.
The fight for our common sense should not be from the left or the right but should come from within ourselves.
Our experiences, goals, dreams, values, hearts and minds…
Simple insight about the War on Terror, Race Relations, Separation of Church and State, The Right To Bear Arms, The War on Drugs, Government Oversight, The Environment, Safety in the Food We Eat and other issues that hit the very heart of our daily lives is where I want to bring the conversation to you each and every week.
It is no longer enough to point the finger at broken campaign promises to be a Radical Independent. The partisan goals of each and every one of our political leaders in both Houses of Congress and the Oval Office are glaring in our faces each and every day but it is our individual duty to call a spade a spade.
The Mavericks of compromise from both parties are retiring or changing their stripes and the new breed of politicians from both sides of the aisle aren’t doing enough to honor those who came before them.
Until we can get an independent or a true moderate who’s willing to navigate through the system we have to make a dent on our broken system of government, nothing is going to change except the names on the signature templates of the documents they sign.
With our representatives not willing to do what it takes to represent the interests of the average American it is up to us to fight for what needs to be done.
It is the people who ultimately hold the power through the election process so it is our responsibility to break the filters of a partisan media and power structure to get the facts for ourselves and make independent decisions.
This can only be done by recognizing BS when we see it and holding the leaders we put in office to the candle of responsibility regardless of party affiliation, race, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
